yesterday i learened how to take a picture of some thing with a can i thought would this picture even come out but then we had to sit out side in the cold and the sun light for 1-10 minites depending on were the most sun light is and then we took the picture we took the papper out the camera and then put it in cemicals then i seen that the picture came out i like pin hole cameras i love my experience in the shutter bugs

I like this photo because it shows that no matter what race you are you can still be united. This was the main message I learned because if you are united with each other you will have a greater chance in succeeding. If you don't work together and you don't succeed its because one person maybe had a good idea but needed to be supported and another person from another idea that could support the other groups idea and they cant help each other unless they work together no matter what race. Its always good to work together.

I like this photo because its beautiful with the details of the drops of water on the pedals also the color of the flower is unique with the purple leaves in the back it makes it pop out more then it does. Also it shows that there nothing in the surroundings that looks more beautiful than the rose. What I think about a flower is that life is a flower because we bloom and shine bright then we shiver and die. Also we take care of our lives just like taken care of a beautiful flower. This flower shows life and love in some kind of way that you cant describe.

There are several reason why I love this picture. First, this is not my picture it is an image that i found on google and decide that I should share it with the blog. This picture express my thoughts and what people say to each other like  "Your Ugly" don't believe what they say because in some way you are beautiful. Also, people  tell each other " you should die because of your looks" don't get so upset and listen to them i just want you to tell them you just don't see it in me like I do. You are beautiful  <3. I might not see you in person  but i see a beautiful image deep inside.

My name is Nautica Lovera and the reason I like being in the shutterbugs is because I love art. I love taking pictures an love motion. I like taking pictures of movement and learning about photographs and about film. Mr. Rocco is the best at teaching us new things I’m glade he give’s us things to do after school an sometimes when were in school. if he had never done this some people would be doing bad things out side or inside school. I’m grateful for the shutterbugs and Mr. Rocco I’m happy to be in one of the best things ever. I was thinking one day about the life of a photographer so I decided to be one its so much fun having friends in shutterbugs so they can help you when your stuck on something. I saw how some people miss judge them but I see people differently I see them as good people. people who like to see what they like seeing how they want there life I remember when I first learned how to make photo grams they said they liked mine, mine was one of the best I liked mine for a first time. I love shutterbugs because there like family. family that are funny an caring and other then my birth family there my family out side the house out side of school or in school. They are artest’s an I’m glade to be working with them I happy for them I like being here I love there pictures I learned to used developer, stop an fix for photo grams an learned how to make a photo gram with no lights on an just a little bit of time an 15 seconds worth of light on the photo gram

The first  photogram is the first photogram I ever did.It took me a week to figure out what i wanted to do but when I put it together in my head  it looked pretty awesome. The second one we ran though the scanner and turned it from a negative to a positive on the computer.

I'm happy because I'm writing my first post. Hi my name is Yaitza and I'm the second generation of the Shutterbug's. This is my first photogram. hope you like!!!  I'm in 6th grade and also I'm 11years old. Here's some info, the first one is negative and the second one is a positive. My Experience was wonderful.

i used  my favirote neckles because my mom gave it to me it was great learning new things in a dark room most people used digital cammras why dont people use a dark room any more im so glade mr rocco is here to teach me an the other shutter bugs i also used eye contacts because you can see right threw it so it kinda looks like floting eyes well first i did it on the rong side then i did it on the right side of the paper an it came out like this i love learning new this from new people thank you mr rocco

Hey Everybody! I just kinda wanted to reflect on how I feel about the trip.

So first off I just would like to say thank you to all of the wonderful supporters that helped make this trip possible. This was such an amazing opportunity to be able to go to Colombia for the second time.
I really can't tell you how grateful I am. I know that a lot of kids my age don't get to have this in their life. This sumer I got the chance to know:
- what it's like to be a teacher
- self control
- how to be self aware
- just to be away from technology for a minute and have some good old fashioned fun
instead of being glued to my headphones

Honestly, I would trade going to the creek with my friends this summer for all of that ^^ any day.

 Yesterday I had a great victory climbing El Cerro De Las Tres Cruces here in Cali, which is a mountain that people walk up for exercise. In the beginning of the walk I couldn't breathe and I was feeling light headed so we took a break and everyone came to comfort me. After I struggled to get to the half way point and we rested for a little while and they asked all the girls if they thought that they could make it to the top. I told them I'd go up as high as I can and then I'd go down if I got tired. I walked, occasionally stopped and took breaks, and next thing I know I see Rashawn, Jonathan, and Mr.Rocco's family cheering me on. Mr.Rocco said let me take a picture of your victory and there it is.

SO yesterday I met Valentina from the Agua Blanca District of Cali, Colombia.

She's 8 years old and I swear she's the cutest thing in the world. We were together for about 5 hours yesterday. The best part about her is that she is SO well behaved and really easy to teach. It was a pleasure meeting her :3.

First Time The Best Time

For my first time in Colombia. I'm having a great time with the Shutterbugs after our problems like missing our plane and sleeping in the airport, but we still got here and we are having a great  time together.

After all that struggle with our flights being rescheduled. We managed to finally get here in one piece. We met Tio Juan Manuel and his family. We settled in and after we went for a walk to a mall. We went on swing sets and seesaws and sang songs.

So, today has been a rough but awesome day. First its Franchesca's birthday . We went to NY late and accidentally missed our first flight to Orlando and everyone got worried but we had Mr. Rocco comfort us with food. :) Once we got to Orlando me and Mr. Rocco were trying to figure out how to use our new but old cameras. So all in all were all prepared and excited to get back to our friends in Colombia. 

 To begin, there are several reason that  I took this picture.  First of all, this photo was to show the look of the beginning stage of a coffee bean's growth.  Another reason I took this photo was because every morning that I wake up I notice my mother is drinking coffee, in a flash I picture my mother back in Philadelphia meanwhile we were in Colombia.  Lastly, I took this picture because it remind me about how people bother me by saying that coffee stop growth, being though im short so it really bothers me. Therefore,  you know why I took this photo.

I took this picture because I went out with a goal and that was to look for something unusually beautiful. I think that is what this picture represents, something that is unusually beautiful. I think it's amazing how you can make trash art. When I first saw the gloves I took it looking directly down on them. Afterwards I knelt down and purposely set my self up to take a picture with one glove on each corner. This is why I love this picture.

I took this picture because my best friends are in it. Also, we were taking pictures of things that really interest us.  This picture makes me feel like I took a picture of something besides trash. It makes me feel like I took a picture of something people have done to our streets. To me, this picture represents what humans do everyday in Kensington.

Holiday Family Love (H.F.L.)

I named this picture Holiday Family Love or (H.F.L) because it shows

how my mother hugs my brother and it looks like she's about to cry.

Then the hand that is my sisther gives him some food or a toy for the holiday. 

The reason that the picture looks like that is because i used a film camera that only takes black and white pictures.

My name is Franchesca Robles & I have been a member of the Stetson Shutterbugs since the 8th grade. I am now a sophomore at Edison High School on Luzerne Street in North Philadelphia where I study video. When I graduate from Edison I want to study CSI and when I'm done with my studies I want to go to the Air Force & be a still photographer specialist. My favorite colors are dark grey & dark purple.
